As I have said many times, I believe this teaching task is the most important assignment God has given to us as parents. And that's why this ministry, Heritage Builders, was created.
The task of raising children who love God and follow Him in obedience is a difficult assignment - especially today. Our kids live and breathe in a culture permeated by the toxins of death and moral decay. Our sons and daughters face an enemy who wants to consume them and wound them before they ever get started in life. So, now more than ever we need to take seriously our biblical mandate to instill a life-giving and life-affirming faith within our children."

Heritage Builders, as a conference and content based ministry, enables churches to: educate, equip and encourage parents to pass their faith to the next generation. We believe that the primary responsibility to pass the faith to our children lays with parents not the church. Through an integrated home-centered, church-supported strategy (see White Paper on Family Ministry), Heritage Builders offers church based, multi-media, teaching seminars. The goal is to motivate and equip parents with the tools and resources to support a Biblically based plan on "How to" pass their faith to their children at home, in accordance with Deuteronomy 6:4-9. and Men’s Ministry. His heart and passion is the
spiritual leadership of men in the home. He has
co-authored 17 books on various aspects of spiritual

session is presented 8-10 weeks prior to the "catalytic" family
spiritual formation conference in a city wide approach or can be
incorporated into a Friday session for a single church prior to an
individual church seminar. It is designed to educate and equip church
leaders with the understanding and tools needed to accelerate or
help launch their family ministry efforts - successfully engaging
parents in the spiritual formation process of their children at home.
These seminars present cutting edge thinking from family ministry
practioners and the home-centered spiritual formation movement.

Otis Ledbetter: J. Otis Ledbetter is pastor of Sonrise
Church in Clovis, California and chairman of the board
of Heritage Builders Association, a cooperative
network of families and churches committed to
passing a solid heritage to the next generation. His
